Complete and independent service visits
We pride ourselves on our customer orientated approach to the servicing of your microscopes.
All our work is carried out at the customers site in order to cause minimum disruption to your instrument and provide a service to fit around your work schedule and fulfil your individual needs. We can provide either one off servicing visits or annual visits all at affordable prices (see below for example prices).
Servicing will help maintain the full functionality of your microscope, and may prevent the expense of buying a new instrument.
Formal quotations are always provided and these are valid for six months. If required, we can also provide service reports for each microscope.
Thorough independent microscope servicing
Our service includes:
- Cleaning of all optical parts, including eyepieces, condenser, objectives and filters
- Checking of all moving parts and adjustment and lubrication where required
- Cleaning of the microscope body
- Checking and adjustment of setup for optimal functionality
Minor repairs may be carried out at the time of the service visit, more complex repairs or those requiring spare parts would be discussed.
Examples of pricing for servicing
- School and College student microscopes (e.g. monocular/binocular/dissecting ) – £12 per instrument.
- University teaching microscopes (e.g. compound, inverted and dissecting) – £20-£40 per instrument
- Research microscopes(e.g. compound, , fluorescence, inverted and dissecting)- £20-£60 per instrument
- Veterinary microscopes (compound) £30-£40 per instrument
- Metallurgical microscopes (compound and dissecting) £20-£40 per instrument
If required, we can also provide service reports for each microscope. Both the servicing and the report meet the high standards required for laboratory accreditation.
A service may restore your microscope to full working order and so prevent the major expense of buying a new instrument.
